This is very true indeed Patricia...which is why we are here. To bring the truth to light. The powers that be continue to downplay the epoch as merely an act of God in far too many ways and places, but there were far more sinister gears in motion throughout that are often left out of the piucture. There is one incorrect point here, that the crop they depended upon to pay rents was destroyed...those potato crops were primarily for self consumption because they could be grown on a small parcel of land. It was everything else they raised and grew that payed the rents.
But other than that, it is pretty well done.
